The surface of every rock and pebble describes the story of their creation and, as such, the creation of our planet. By layering pigment in random ways I try to emulate, albeit superficially, the slow, deep-time evolution of the ancient bedrock of our coast. It is on the coast line and amongst the moors and mountains that we come closest to our ancient geological beginnings.

This is new work in development and these images are just a taster of work in progress.
